A well-established company based in Brooklyn (Pretoria) is seeking the expertise of a Credit Controller.

Key Responsibilities:
Management of Department expenses within budget
Accurate capturing of all communication and action on an account on the system
Attend to diarised account first before actioning on new accounts
Reaching daily target of 45 accounts & timeous feedback to Department Manager if not reached
Effective dealing with account for first time
Accurate verification of account not being paid
Accurate determination of liability on unpaid accounts (Patient or Medical Aid)
Obtain rejection reason from Medical Aid before phoning Patient
Comprehensive feedback to Patient as to why Patient is liable for unpaid account as well as possible consequences for non-payment
Effective Pursuing of Patient into paying account and sending proof of payment
Effective handling of accounts on 30/60/90/120 days
Accurate recording of first contact with Patient, especially with promises to pay
Inform Patient that they should advise timeously if not able to meet their PTP commitment as the account will be handed over
Accurate updating contact details for each patient contacted
Include Department Manager with all communication to the Practices
Attend to Bulk e-mail and sms's to Patients, inclusive of monthly statements of outstanding accounts after month end
Ensure professional telephone etiquette with Patients, Medical Aids, Practices and Business Partners
Timeously inform Department Manager of any complaints/unhappy Clients
