An exciting opportunity for a GM: System solutions is available for candidates with:
• 5-8 years’ experience of projects in systems, IT infrastructure and customer care
• 5-8 General management experience
• 5-8 Risk assessment and management experience
• 5-8 Strong financial background and financial management experience
• Economic and market research experience
• Understanding of customer experience and competitor knowledge

• Support strategic direction and development of the business and to identify new market opportunities to drive the execution of the strategy across the business’s value chain
• Manage internal technology dependencies, deliverables and relationships (ITD, DDM & BTD) across the group
• Lead the development of solutions and business systems across the organisation.
• Establish the performance goals and the allocation of key resources
• Work with business and customer management to establish and gain consensus on system and solution goals objectives and deliverables
• Manage processes and controls for business systems support. (end to end support)
• Establish relationships and negotiate / manage service level requirements and agreements with external and internal stakeholders
• Implement a business continuity and disaster recovery plan for the group
• Align corporate governance and practices across all platforms with governing entities
• Lead bids for project funds to develop proof of concepts work, prototypes and pilots
• Define the strategy for innovation / solutions and identify the resources required to deliver the company's innovation objectives
• Incubate new product development and solutions life cycle transition into the market
• Manage budget allocation for new solutions and systems support
• Own and transition technology divisions in line with industry trends and standards – example settlement platforms & Digital Media
• External monitoring/scanning of consumer, technology and innovation trends across converging industries and the identification of disruptive, sustainable and enabling solutions
• Ensure the design of high-level roadmaps for the implementation of innovation and solutions architecture with a critical focus on execution support and guidance on large and complex projects
• Own the Enteprise Architecture and technology strategy for Africa
• Ability to translate business goals into actionable technology, system & marketing strategies
• Ability to influence and drive decision making at a business and technology level
• Provide direction and guidance to senior management staff
