Leading ITDistribution Company seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to promote the sale ofproducts by developing client relationships, increasing the skill level within the company (staffand clients) and advising clients in the configuration and pricing of the solutions.

Key Responsibility Areas

Promote the sale ofproducts effectively and efficiently to customers via personal visits, telephone and email contact,marketing and training events.
Prospect for new customers and generate interest in productswith clients currently not reselling from the company.
Identify and develop underperformingcustomers.
Work closely with the vendor on deals/tenders to ensure they are secured thecompany and its resellers.
Involve the vendor and sales in customer meetings, be tactful inthe approach and follow through with at least three key action points per meeting.
Workclosely with reseller, understand their targets from the vendor and gain majority market sharewithin their businesses.
Provide first level technical advice on products and keepcustomers informed of new developments in product set.
Professionally and efficientlymanage customer’s engagement with a view to maximize the client experience.
Report onlost deals with reasons and pending deals (pipeline).
Display accuracy regarding messages,quotes, orders and information given.
Answer customer queries, offer productinformation.
Consult with clients to establish the needs of their business.
Ensurecustomer expectations are met - order taking and delivery.
Increase overall customersatisfaction of new and existing customers’ base in order to be effective in solvingchallenges that arise, and need to be solved for customers.
Report weekly on allactivities, wins and losses.

Education and Experience

Matric/Grade 12
IT Tertiary qualifications preferential
Minimum of 3 years front line sales andbusiness development experience (essential)

Technical Competencies

Building and maintainingrelationships with existing and new Business Partners.
Business development and programmanagement within the allocated Business Partner accounts.
Recruitment and enablement ofnew Business Partner.
Account planning and performance analysis.
Exceeding salestargets.
Preparing of Partner Plans and Business Development Plans.
Facilitatingtechnical and brand sales training for Business Partners.
Facilitating and assistance withmarketing events to generate leads for Business Partners.

Owntransport and valid driver's license
