Support Technician sought to join a one-stop, full-service, technology consulting partner. This is an incredible opportunity to receive training on world-class, third-party software and will elevate your skills. Our client is a specialist IT services company that provides comprehensive, tailor-made software and support for complete technological solutions. They have an urgent requirement for a Support Technician who will be responsible for providing technical assistance, advice, problem solving and technical information to internal and external customers regarding the use of to a third-party product, a contract management system, as well as inhouse developed software applications. The role involves providing telephonic and email support to customers. This includes responding to queries, running diagnostics, logging tickets, documenting issues, isolating problems, and implementing solutions by assisting users in troubleshooting issues to identify potential resolutions and advise end users on the necessary steps to achieve solutions. You will be required to research and identify solutions to client technical problems and contribute to the support team knowledge library for continuous improvement. The occasional weekend or after-hours work may be required, and you will be called on to respond to high priority calls out of hours if required. To apply you will need a Matric coupled with Microsoft and ITIL Certifications. A Computer Science Degree or diploma and Azure Certification would be preferred. Your solid 2 years’ experience in IT support should include Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and desktop software installation, troubleshooting, support & maintenance; Server operating systems and Server software installation, troubleshooting, support & maintenance; Azure; MS 365 tenants and associated management and support; and general networking knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, ICMP, etc. The role requires excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills (written and verbal); the ability to multi-task, work tight deadlines and cope under pressure; analytical and critical thinking ability; attention to detail and high level of accuracy; strong problem-solving skills with the ability to find solutions using own resources; and a strong personality, self-assured, self-confident and assertive.
