Purpose of the role:- To ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations and assist with the monitoring of risk and controls within the company.
- Risk
- Attend bi-monthly sessions with risk champions to assist with the identification of risks and the controls introduced and capture any risk and controls in the risk register;
- Compliance
- Obtain information from the respective compliance champions.
- Collate regular updates of all relevant regulations, legislation, practice notes, etc. from the relevant departments within the company
- Enter these legislations on the Compliance tables;
- Work with the various departments.
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews.
- Design and conduct procedures to test for compliance within the company.
- Perform compliance reviews to ensure the procedures as dictated are being carried out;
- Perform ad hoc compliance reviews as required;
- Issue monthly reports for use by the relevant executives of each division;
- Assist with performance of due diligence reviews.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Minimum qualifications a Bachelor’s Degree in Internal Audit or Law.
- 3 years related experience.
- 3 years post articles experience working within an audit/compliance environment
- MS Office Suite
