Qualifications and Experience:
National Diploma /degree in ICT related field with IT specialisation (NQF6) and/or equivalent.
3-5 Years experience in the ICT field, within systems development, implementation and
maintenance / enhancements of solutions in the corporate/public sector organisation.
The experience must include 3-5 years experience within software development and 2-4 years experience in solution design and
analysisKnowledge of:
Corporate and ICT Governance and Compliance; Programming Languages; Development,
Implementation and Integration Methodologies, including Testing, Packaging and Release; IT Quality Management;
ICT Procurement practices; IT Security and ICT Standards; COTS (Commercial of the Shelf) and OSS Products; Project Management; Application development, enhancement and maintenance practices.
Skills:
Development (e.g. .NET Framework, Java Framework, Other IDE); Security (Software and Technologies); Portal (e.g. HTML, CSS, JAVA Scripting, Portlets with various integrations); Interfacing and Integration (Middleware Technologies); Development methodologies (e.g. RUP, OpenUp, Agile); Standards (e.g. ISO/IEC12207); Quality Management (e.g. ISO9001, CMMI); Entity Relationship Diagrams; IT Software Testing, Packaging and Release; UML
