A large ICT company, based in theSandton area, is seeking to employ a Service Desk Team Leader.

Knowledge &Experience:
 

Matric (Grade 12)
Professional IT qualifications
Demonstrable experience leading a distributed supportteam
Demonstrable experience managing a Windows Server-based IT environment, includingGroup Policy, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint and Office 365
Demonstrable experiencemanaging a Windows-based desktop estate
Demonstrable capability in managing an IP-basedtelephony system
Demonstrable expertise in managing AV systems
Diagnostics andtroubleshooting abilities
Comfortable engaging and presenting to senior businessexecutives
Working experience with Agile and ITIL work practices
Workingfamiliarity with IT governance best practices
Knowledge of AD, LDAP, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, andWi-Fi
Team leader for regional IT team
Mentoring local resources to driveimprovement in case resolution time & quality & project management
Executing onlocalized training for team to ensure best practice alignment
Primary point of escalationfor local IT requests, overflow and project execution
Identifying improvements to workpractices, collaborating with global resources to drive implementation
Managing andresolving global case overflow and project execution, in time in accordance with SLAcommitments
Employee engagement and satisfaction of local resources
Regionalprocurement, deployment and configuration of appropriate IT equipment
Ensuring IT remainstop of mind in South Africa, and that the local team remains globally engaged
Alignment oflocal IT practices to global organization
Operations and administration of local securitytechnology for South African offices
Supporting and driving local stakeholder management inline with new technology deployments & projects
Reporting on project, team and caseresolution progress as required
