Software Development Project Manager sought for South African based company specialising in the development of financial market software solutions. Our client has an impressive, fast growing footprint worldwide, with extensive collective knowledge in the financial markets. Core products cover exchange solutions, back office management systems, and front-end trading tools. The Software Project Manager’s role will be to coordinate, manage and execute external and internal facing projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will be the go-to-person for everything relating projects allocated to you, this includes but not limited to overseeing, projects from start to end, co ordinating between teams and all team members allocated to the project. Responsibilities will include managing the entire scope of work in the TFS system while providing excellent response times and solutions to customer requests. This will include managing the documenting of all the customer requirements and following up with all parties; collating of outstanding TFS’s and compiling reports for management meetings. You will need to establish and maintain key relationships with both the programming and customer support staff in providing TFS solutions as well as relationships with clients and provide them with outstanding client support. This role will involve monitoring and controlling releases of software and providing statistics on incoming/outgoing and returned work. To be considered you will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing software development projects coupled with a relevant Project Management qualification. You should have expert knowledge of Team Foundation Server (TFS), MS Office and MS Project Applications and a good understanding of PMBOK and Prince 2 as well as a ‘Scrum Master’ or an ‘Agile approach’ experience. This role will suit an organized, detail-oriented individual with an excellent command of English and excellent reporting skills required for written communication to external stakeholders, management, and executive committee. You will need to be self-motivated and persistent in following up with deadlines and providing outstanding customer service. Own transport essential.
