Billing / Debtors Administrator sought to work for one of SA’s largest and most respected Software Development Companies. Our client’s successful track record in delivering working software solutions over the last 30 years has meant exponential growth. They have secured multiple projects with top corporates including large, multi-national corporations, small, flexible enterprises, and everything in-between. This equates to a very busy finance administration team that is responsible for efficient running of the business. They are looking to add a Billing Administrator to the team and would like an intermediate level resource with strong knowledge of Debtors, billing processes and advanced Excel skills. The incumbent will be responsible for updating billing recons daily, raising invoices, preparing account recons and issuing statements, collecting outstanding invoices, ensuring receipt of remittances, timesheet tracking and reporting on project performance, handling all administration around accounts, meeting clients onsite when required, and providing weekly updates to unit heads. This will include building high-level, readable, and accurate automated reports and you will be called on to build, implement and prepare data-heavy spreadsheets to monitor billing activities, reducing time loss and speed up the billing process. Candidates who wish to apply should have 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in a medium sized private business. You should understand finance and have a strong numeric ability. You will need to be familiar with Pastel / Evolution and be proficient in Word, specifically document formatting. You will need to interpret data and should be able to build automated reports so advanced Excel knowledge is essential (pivot tables, tables structures, VLOOKUP’s, IF Functions, etc). Own transport and willingness to work extended hours when required essential. The role would suit someone who is analytical with excellent attention to detail, able to work under pressure, can take initiative and has the ability to plan, prioritise and organise tasks to meet deadlines. We are looking for someone who is an all-rounder but who has earned the reputation of being the person to get things done.
