Purpose of Role:Experience in clustered high availability SQL systems
Sound troubleshooting skills by way of resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, replication, log shipping, security and performance tuning.
Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring and Replication.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Relevant Microsoft Certification
Well versed in T- SQL, queries, creation of scripts, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Triggers
Demonstrated experience in SQL Server administration, Jobs, Backups, Table Indexing
Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring and Replication.
Knowledge of SQL Server tools ( Profiler, DTA, SSMS, SAC, SSCM, PerfMon, DMVs, system sprocs)
Skills Required:
Good communication skills, analysing abilities, and trouble shooting skills.
Ability to manage priorities, deadlines and tasks in order to meet deadlines and to accomplish goals.
