IT InfrastructureEngineer (Desktop) Sandton Working Hours - Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm The IT InfrastructureEngineer (Desktop) will be responsible for all aspects of design, development, implementation, andsupport of the firm’s desktop infrastructure, ensuring that the Desktop infrastructure ismaintained to the high standards required to provide resilient services to the firm and its clients,liaising with other teams, departments or offices as necessary. The team is responsible globally forthe design, development, management, architecture, operation and full lifecycle of all DesktopInfrastructure including but not limited to SCCM, AD/GPO/GPP, Citrix, Client Desktop Engineering andconfiguration, client patching, Desktop antivirus and the end to end Printing Service, whetherhosted on premise or in third party locations operating under contracts with The Clients. Inaddition, in order to effectively support the services running on the firm's Information Technologyinfrastructure, a good general knowledge of all applications and services provided to the firm isrequired. This position reports to the IT Manager of Desktop Infrastructure The IT InfrastructureEngineer (Desktop) is expected to have an excellent working knowledge of all aspects of theTechnology Infrastructure, supported by the wider team. The specific duties for this role include,but are not limited to managing, designing and implementing: Microsoft SCCM – Microsoft and &3rd Party Patching, Windows OS Desktop / Laptop Image creation with Applications overlaid,Reporting, Inventory / Asset Management Active Directory including OU design, Group PolicyPreferences, Group Policy Objects, DHCP, DNS, WINS, Domain Controller Management and RolesManagement as well as ADFS design and SSO Citrix – XEN App published Desktop & Publishedapplication creation and management, Citrix Architecture Design and Implementation, Netscalers andStorefront servers Desktop / Laptop security Toolsg. Anti-virus, Anti-malware, heuristic AV productsand also VPN technologies Scripting skills – predominantly PowerShell Maintain effectiveBusiness Continuity and Disaster To undertake assigned projects or tasks, carrying out relevantresearch and defining and/or documenting the scope of the project

Skills and Experience
