Role details:
To ensure delivery in line with requirements and in compliance with agreed standards and to lead the project team in the development of the project
To mentor & lead the team and to provide technical guidance as and when required

The team lead is accountable for:Review of all technical deliverables to be in line with the specifications & standards
Managing scope & estimating delivery schedules along with Project Managers, Architects & the team
Providing technical leadership and mentoring throughout the project lifecycle
Ensuring the software is developed according to standards, is defect free and meets the requirements
Proactively identifying reusable opportunities and to manage and measure the reuse
Acquire & Implement:
Ensure review of specifications
Ensure traceability of requirements
Determine the best methods / solutions that will meet business requirements
Provide input to estimating
Assist in the design and development of software components - troubleshoot and resolve issues
Assist in the creation of system test plans and user acceptance test plans
Monitor the software development efforts on small to medium sized projects to ensure the end product is delivered on time and meets product requirements – supports project managers in these efforts on larger projects
Thoroughly understand and champion the SBSA Enterprise Methodology and Standards
Internal and external relationships:
Primarily interacts with the project team on a daily basis to oversee the development, to ensure the project is running smoothly and to provide technical mentoring
Interacts with the project manager regularly to monitor the progress of the project and provide inputs / concerns / risks to the project schedule, budget & resources
Interacts with business analysts, quality team & testing team during various phases of the SDLC lifecycle of the project
Qualifications / knowledge:
BCom Information Systems
BSc (Computer Science or Information Systems)
Diploma in Information Systems
