They need:

10 + years commercial experience;
Essential to have either previous Investment Banking; Stockbroking experience OR experience outside of Banking in any high volume transactional environments (Online Gambling; Sport Betting come to mind);
Veteran level person with several years’ worth of Technical Architecture experience;
Diverse experience able to guide the business on best practice and processes;
Essential to have extensive knowledge of .NET focusing on C#.NET;
Essential to have in-depth knowledge of ASP.NET type tech (Web Forms through MVC and into the latest tech like Angular) - we’re not expecting vast experience in every detail but it’s expected that you understand the options;
Competent (they will employ Data Architects and the like) knowledge of large RDBMS – primarily SQL Server but the Bank does use everything from Oracle to MongoDB across the group;
Knowledge of the associated tools – HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc;
In depth knowledge of Security; Access Control; Identity Management etc;
Some experience leading people useful;
Essential to have experience acting as a Thought Leader within a business;
Essential to have experience enabling process and methods;
Good knowledge of Agile techniques as well as associated methods like CI and CD.
Permanent; Sandton; salaries are negotiable in the upper tiers of the architectural remit. Ref JP34442
