A leading manufacturing house in SA seeks an Oracle Application DBA who can provide database programming and administration (DBA) expertise. You will be responsible for the performance, integrity, up-time and security of two production oracle databases. What are you waiting for?


Qualifications & Technical Competencies:

• Mandatory Qualifications Required
• ESSENTIAL: Certified Oracle professional database administrator (10g AND/OR 11g)
• PREFERRABLE: certified as oracle e-business suite 12 applications DBA
• 6+ years overall experience, min 4 years as an Oracle DBA
• 2+ years Oracle Applications E-Business Suite (EBS)
• 2+ years direct support of application end-users in a Corporate environment
• Proficient SKILLS: Oracle database administration 11g or later; Oracle websphere and oracle Weblogic; oracle e-business suite 11i or later; Solaris 10 and LATER; and Oracle PL/SQL
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills – verbal & written


Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the performance, integrity, up-time and security of two production oracle databases.
• Responsible for the cloning of development databases
• Responsible for administering oracle e-Business suite (PRESENTLY 11.5.10.2, UPGRADING TO 12.2.4)
• Administering Maximo 6.2.7 running under Oracle Websphere
• Responsible for applying patches and upgrades to the Oracle databases and to the e-Business suite and Maximo systems.
• Backup and recovery of the oracle databases.
