A Leading Commercial bank is seeking to engage the services of a SENIOR manager with financial acumen, in the capacity of HEAD: IT SUPPORT. The successful incumbent will be liable for managing the demand and costs charged to TPS Front Office, ensure drivers of costs are managed, and that efficiencies are realised across the IT chain and service providers and ensure accurate financial reporting across the TPS portfolios.\n\n

Preferred Qualification and Experience

BCOM: Financial Management -Information Systems
CA would be advantageous

Knowledge of

Detailed working knowledge of Income Statement reporting, GL processes, Accruals Processes.
Project Accounting Principles
SAP R3 and SAP Project
Detailed understanding of Project Frameworks (PMBOK, Prince 2, etc) and the SDLC

Experience

Minimum 10 years experience in managing projects and programmes,
5 years personal accountability for managing and allocating investment funding,
3 years experience in aligning and reporting financial accounting to management accounting.

Job Purpose

To manage the demand and costs charged to TPS Front Office. Ensure drivers of costs are managed, and efficiencies are realised across the IT chain and service providers.
To ensure accurate financial reporting across the TPS portfolios
Managing the Project Office on project and financial reporting functions
Managing relationships and services with internal service provides such as Software asset management
Manage demand management planning and pre-project work

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Accountable for:

Costs are accurate and reasonable to TPS Front Office by ensuring drivers of costs are managed and efficiencies are realised across the IT chain and service providers.
Design and implement robust financial management processes across TPS and external areas in CIB to optimise efficiencies of support services including, financial, procurement, contract management.
Optimise efficiencies in and manage the people management functions.
Design and implement robust project financial management process across CIB IT Project Community ensuring correct controls are in place to accurately allocate and report on projects.
Drive monthly CTB rolling forecasting and projected spend process, providing detailed reported that allows for executive prioritisation across CIB IT.
Manage business demand against capacity (financial and resource).
Manage the annual project planning and prioritisation cycles with business.
Manage a team of project managers and business analysts to execute pre-project work re: project size and cost estimation.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and Organize

Co-ordinate and challenge the existing processes to achieve efficiencies in outputs.
Continuously align business and IT plans (ito budget and project execution).
Engage with business stakeholders and the relevant stakeholders (procurement, infrastructure, etc) so that capacity and demand are smoothed.
Co-ordinate, and consolidate the budget and quarterly revised estimate (RE) processes for run and change portfolios.

Deliver & Support

Develop and implement a standardised project financial management process that can be used across portfolio’s and regions.
Support roll out of Project Management tools to ensure full integration into the financial management systems.
Support TPS business with relevant financial and project performance.

Monitor & Evaluate

Design and implement MI reporting tools & processes.
Track and manage under-performing (over-spend).

People Management

Manage the support services team of 3 staff members.
Partner with and hold accountable the PMO and BMO for reports and budgets, who will not be direct reports.
Partner with and hold accountable external teams such as Group Finance for reporting, who will not be direct reports.
Partner with, and hold accountable, the project managers accountable for the budgets and reports, who will not be direct reports.
