My client in thefinancial/insurance industry in Centurion is looking for an IT Security Engineer with 2-4 years'experience in McAfee. The successful candidate will provide support to infrastructure projects thatrequire security solutions.

Experience &Qualifications

3 years of security platform administration or endpointengineering experience within a large-scale enterprise
Ability to provide guidance onsecurity principles, standards within the organization
Encourage knowledge sharing withinthe team
3-5 years’ experience on McAfee (DLP, HIPS, VSE, ATD/DXL/TIE, GTI,Drive Encryption, SIEM, ePO) (Required)
Understanding of network concepts such asFirewalls, Load-balancers, and complex network designs
Hands-on experience in InformationSecurity technologies
Knowledge of Risk Management methodologies
InformationSecurity Certifications and qualifications
IT Diploma or Degree and relevant Certificationswill be an added advantage
Matric required

 
Ideal Candidate will have experience on thefollowing:

Provide support to infrastructure projects that requiresecurity solutions
Analyse, troubleshoot and investigate security-related, informationsystems’ anomalies based on security platform reporting, network traffic, log files,host-based and automated security alerts.
Assist the development of security toolrequirements, trials, and evaluations, as well as security operations procedures and processes
Good understanding of Private and Public Cloud deployments
Strong analytical andprocess oriented skills are preferred
Experience working with remote users
Document the supported environment (Configurations, Diagrams and SOP’s)
Performdaily, weekly and monthly tasks as allocated
Perform all calls allocated as per SLA in thecall management system
Incident / Problem / Change Management

 
The Incumbent will be responsiblefor:

Manage, report and monitor performance of these systemsto ensure optimal end user experience and operation availability
Where required, interactwith all levels of staff to solve issues
Involvement with special projects

Provide after-hours support/perform standbyduties on a rotation basis
Flexible with working hours and availability to work after hourswhen required
Interact with customers to determine their requirements
Research anddevelopment into new related technologies and tools
Involvement in projects (both internaland external)
Manage Operational Availability.
Life Cycle Management.
Forecasting and discover new simplified Architectures for improved infrastructure.
Bewilling to take on additional tasks as the needs of the business changes.
