Key performance areas within the role will include the implementation of the communication strategy and support general marketing campaigns, events and functions within the marketing team.
This person will play a key role in the day to day formulation, planning and implementation of all the marketing communication strategies and activities. The role will also require close collaboration with the broader Ashburton Investments marketing team, both in South African and in Jersey.
 
Responsibilities:

Formulation and implementation of marketing related communication activities and processes.
Coordinate and implement the development, processes, approval, branding, maintenance and distribution of marketing materials, fund fact sheets, forms, corporate stationery and documents
Work closely with the business and Group stakeholders, the Ashburton Investments marketing team and external agencies and suppliers to plan, implement and manage cohesive and consistent communication campaigns (digital, direct, branch, above the line, social media, etc) to clients, Group stakeholders and staff
Evaluate the success of campaigns and provide the feedback to business; ensure that learnings and feedback from campaigns are applied to improve future campaigns
Write, edit and proofread external and internal communication and coordinate the relevant approvals, branding and distribution
Manage information flows (editorial input, articles etc. - as required by the business), in terms of content, frequency and appropriateness, to the broader client base
Work with the external PR agency to extract expert opinion within the company and generate copy for media dissemination
Devise creative solutions to raising profile and awareness of the key people, activities, products and achievements within this business
Arrange media training where necessary
Assist with general ad hoc marketing projects, wehre required

Qualifications:
An appropriate undergraduate degree

Minimum of three years of experience in journalism, editing, public relations or appropriate experience at an existing financial services company Investment related experience would be an advantage
Proven ability to compile media releases, briefing statements etc
Proven ability to write and edit in plain English language
