Gauteng based company specialising in the development of financial market software solutions seeks a Systems Support Analyst who understands programming. Our client has an impressive, fast growing footprint worldwide, with extensive collective knowledge in the financial markets. Core products cover exchange solutions, back office management systems, and front-end trading tools. They are looking to appoint a Systems Technical Support Analyst to provide 1st line support and code analysis to a large multinational financial stock exchange who will be the first contact with the client ensuring smooth and trouble-free communication between the client and the dev team. This will involve recording and tracking any issues or software defects on the internal AzureDevOps tracking system throughout its lifecycle until its closure. You will be required to assist the client with troubleshooting and resolving issues or escalating to the dev team where required ensuring timely resolution as required by the SLA. The role also involves monitoring the systems and investigating and tending to any system generated alerts and to update or generate relevant documentation. You will be required to actively engage with the client and the development teams to assist in the troubleshooting and root cause analyses of reported issues as well as analyse code and provide answers to technical questions and assist with the testing and implementation of any software fixes or updates related to the product. The successful incumbent must be willing to work shifts when required and have a valid driverís license and own car. To apply you will need a BCom Informatics / Information Systems coupled with 3+ years IT related experience in a software support role or experience working within a software development environment. The role will suit a customer centric individual with oral and written communication skills and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of attention to detail is essential. You should ideally have previous experience working with relational databases and MS SQL Server and experience with a scripting or programming language with the ability to code or read code in either C++ or C#.
