Qualification:Matric and a Relevant Engineering or Computer Science Degree or Diploma
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in systems administration and development
Experience in:
Background in Operations, System Administration, Site Operations or DevOps
Ability to reviewing T-SQL code written by other team members
Knowledge on upgrading SQL Servers and applying service packs
Strong TSQ such as stored procedure, functions, triggers and focuses on performance
Windows skills in Windows and Windows Server
Linux
Cloud
Agile/scrum Methodology
SSIS and SSRS - SQL Server Integration Services
Replication and mirroring
Windows Server and SQL Server clustering
Data Warehouse
Virtualisation
Job Description:
As an experienced DBA Engineer, you will monitor database performance, optimize database performance. You will need to be able to exercise capacity planning, manage a highly-scalable and high-availability platform, prepare deployment code and ensure strict security compliance. Your responsibilities will also include the follow of design documentation where required, be able to ensure high availability, run disaster recovery strategies, and ensure database servers are up-to-date.
