Role details:
The Enterprise Integration Programme (EIP) was originally established to replace the legacy integration systems.

For more than 10 years, Eskom has utilized SUN Java CAPS as an interface set of processes between applications, across multiple divisions and business areas. In 2010 Oracle acquired SUN and a directive was sent that stipulates that the SUN Java CAPS tooling would be discontinued.

In 2014 the scope of the project was reduced to a migration of the Seebeyond and JavaCaps interfaces only (discontinued software) to their replacement product. The Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c suite was selected to provide an upgrade path. At the same time the instability of the Integration Environment was a Priority 1 Risk on the Enterprise Risk Register.
In 2015 the Enterprise Integration Programme established the centralised platforms and accomplished a series of pilot interface migrations with the assistance of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). This enabled the P1 risk to be downgraded to a P2 risk but with a clear directive that EIP must expedite to completion.

A Project Administrator is required for the Programme.
