Scrum Master Permanent PositionSouthern Suburbs, Cape Town, Western Cape Overview: The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuringScrum is understood and enacted. They do this by ensuring that the Scrum Team adheres to Scrumtheory, practices, and rules. The Scrum Master helps those outside the Scrum Team understand whichof their interactions with the Scrum Team are helpful and which aren’t. The Scrum Master helpseveryone change these interactions to maximize the value created by the Scrum Team. The Scrum Masterwill be responsible for developing a culture of collaboration and trust within teams, whilesupporting their team to be self-organising and function as an accountable, high performance team.The incumbent will identify and facilitate the removal of impediments faced by their team duringiterations. They will also be responsible for providing a safe environment for their team to reflecton previous delivery efforts in terms of predictability, quality and value add and drive continuousimprovementYou will work closely with other roles in the agile development process, including product owners,other scrum masters, others in their department, as well as business stakeholders in order to ensurethat a shared understanding is held among all

Skills and Experience
Requirements  Solid background in Scrum, Kanban and general software development practicesRelevant tertiary education or certification Certified Scrum Master Willing to engage in continuousimprovement, both individually and within the team Excellent communication skills, both verbal andwritten Strong sensing and framing skills, with the ability to discern between positive and negativeconflict within teams Understands the value of commitments made by a development team and enablesthe team to deliver on this commitment Ability to work in a rapidly changing IT department andfast-paced release environment 5 years experience as a Scrum Master Understand fundamentals ofiterative development and empirical processes Understand basic fundamentals of software developmentprocesses including concepts such as TDD, BDD Understand the value of commitments to delivery madeby a development team Contact:Arina.Liebenberg@eoh.com
