To provide effective and efficient IT support to the business with respect to approved business applications and business processes that meet the business operational requirements. Duties and Responsibilities
IT Project / Process management
Successful Implementation IT Business related projects
Coordinate between relevant business process owners and IT Project Stakeholders on various project initiatives
Facilitate IT projects and the transition of project responsibilities to the business
Provide detailed knowledge of business processes and best practices; as well as, perform business analysis, process design and requirements gathering.
Active problem solving related to projects and provides solutions geared for better decision making.
Provide solid documentation of all key deliverables and due dates.
Responsible for organizing assigned work, managing the work to completion, and managing relationships required to accomplish the work.
Manage the day-to-day details of the project including the plan, schedule, resources, scope and risks.
Generate status reports of various activities associated with assigned projects
Analyse and report on business success of implemented solutions.
Assist with development of user testing plans and execution of user testing
Liaise between business units and IT units to provide support, resolve problems, identify key deliverables and escalate to management as appropriate.
Change Management
Ensure adherence to change management - SOX
Assess the business impact of proposed changes to systems and processes
Identify and communicate key decisions regarding systems and process changes
Challenge the status quo and proactively identify areas of process and system improvement
Business Support
Provide IT business support for existing Business Modules – ERP system
Provide IT support in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project) when required.
Create and maintain up-to-date documented IT business processes
Create user specific reports in various applications as required.
Participate in sessions with business to implement IT business process improvements within an assigned area.
Training
A member on the team responsible for the development of the training material.
Create fundamental/transactional training material as per defined methodology.
Assist in the creation business training material using Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK)
Security Management
Ensure up- to-date General Computer Controls extended Narratives for SOX compliance
Perform Monthly User profile reviews
Ensure that User Action and Function Code security is in line with approval processes.
Ensure up to date Change Management documentation.
IT Policy
Ensure IT Policies are updated
Facilitate sessions to define and document business processes
General Duties
Participate and ensure successful completion of Disaster Recovery Testing
Ensure Integrity Reports are distributed and filed monthly
Assist with Atlas business reporting
Ensure that sales are posted on a daily basis.
Perform daily system checks
Support the barcoding application DcLink.
Monitor and action task requests from users on Global Helpdesk
Job Requirements:
National Diploma/B-Tech Degree or B-Com in Information System or Business management.
Minimum of three years’ experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Team player with a positive attitude that embraces’ change.
Willingness to work extra hours to meet deadlines.
