Swiftnet, a 100% owned subsidiary of Telkom, has a vacancy for a System Administrator (Technical) in the Operations Department at our Centurion office.

Swiftnet provides Wireless Data Services nationally to an extensive customer base, spread over all segments of the market.
Minimum requirements:

• Drivers License,
• Extensive experience with Enterprise Architecture,
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.),
• Relevant IT degree/diploma: i.e. BSc Computer Science,
• Design, build and maintain database infrastructure, and
• Integrate disparate systems
• Network architecture and security design

Qualifications & Experience required

• Minimum 3 years experience in telecoms,
• Proven expert ability in following appropriate fault-finding methodologies to resolve issues,
• Proven ability to deliver projects and tasks with tight deadlines,
• Proven ability to work effectively with management and peers,
• A proven track record in an Internet Service Provider or Telecommunications environment would be advantageous, and
• PCIv1implementation and support, and
• The successful candidate should be able to operate at a corporate level and be able to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Skills & Competencies

• PCI reporting (internal and external)
• PCI compliance testing
• Post-change vulnerability scans and reviews of all network changes,
• Problem solving and decision making,
• Basic Technology knowledge and understanding of CDMA/GSM, ADSL, IP-MPLS/ME, NGN, etc.

• Experience with enterprise applications, security, systems management, and business continuity solutions a plus,
