DescriptionEnsure world-class service levels for all Telemetry systems/platforms
Conduct trial runs of programs, FW and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct
Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes
Streamline processes, operational efficiency and cost effective delivery
Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements
Maintain client-server database
Consult with and assist operators or system analysts to define and resolve problems in running systems
Ensure effective assessment and implementation of new firmware/software/hardware on various broadcast and Telemetry equipment/systems/platforms
Ensure that Telemetry development and implementation documentation is processed and stored for all available network systems
Advanced fault finding and repair of all Telemetry platforms/systems
International travel including Africa as/when required
Take ownership of own training requirements
Identify the educational needs of others, develop formal educational or training programs or classes, and teach or instruct others
Requirements
Applicable B.Eng or BSc qualification
5 years Microsoft .NET software development experience
5 years HTML+CSS, ASP.Net and Web services development experience
5 years MS SQL, MySQL and other database experience
PLC software development experience
Visio, Expression Studio and UML design software experience
Experience in ITIL, TOGAF and other information management tools
Visual Studio (.NET) experience
MS SQL development and maintenance experience
Advanced degree of computer literacy including IT Networking, CCNA will be advantageous
SNMP, Modbus and other monitoring protocols understanding and experience
Web service design experience (SOAP, RESTful)
Engineering design and technology research
Project management principals
