Established brand seeks Governance Officer for a 12-month fixed term contract. Our client is a global leader that has been voted best in their industry year after year. Their name has become synonymous with innovation and positioned them as a leading industry voice. This necessitates a regular review of all IT Polices, Processes and Procedures. As such they are looking for an IT Specialist to support the IT department with all governance, risk and compliance. Key responsibilities will include ensuring awareness of IT Policies, Processes and Procedures among all staff; reviewing and updating the IT Risk Register; preparing monthly IT reports; scheduling IT Security meetings internally and with service providers; preparing and distributing meeting agendas and minutes; external IS assessments; assisting with internal and external audits; supplier management; administration for any PO; and assisting with IT Budgets. The role will call on your excellent attention to detail; time management skills; communication and conflict resolution abilities; assertiveness; problem solving skills; business & financial acumen as well as your ability to think outside of the box and see the bigger picture. To apply you will need a BCom Degree and a minimum of 3 years hands on IT Governance related experience. Your experience should be supported by COBIT and ITIL Foundation Certifications.
