We have a need for a Project Manager with solid knowledge of Fibre Optics and Construction. You will be responsible for managing and optimising network build processes from costing, scoping to resource allocation, quality procurement and stakeholder management ensuring effective and on-time execution of build projects to clientsPurpose of the role:
- Application and management of best practice project management principles
- On-time allocation and kick-off of projects approved by planning
- Resource planning and allocation
- Management of compliance to build policies and procedures
- Support to Project Leaders with Contractor management process compliance
- Dealing with on-site Community, landlord and client management escalations during the build phase
- Management of the interface with supply chain to ensure the on-time availability of materials
- Managing the on-time processing of administration requirements during the build phase e.g. variation BOQs and associated POs
- Facilitating and managing relationships with Local Authorities and compliance to regulations
- Site problem solving
- Management of compliance to Quality assurance and Health and Safety
- Risk mitigation
- Support to the Account Management team in terms of progress reporting and occasional client meetings

Qualifications, experience and skills required:
- Matric
- Project Management qualification preferable
- SHEQ qualification in a civils/construction environment preferable
- 5 years’ experience in network construction and contractor management
- Knowledge of Local Authority regulations
- Knowledge of the OHS Act
- Commercially and financially competent
- Ethical
- Creativity/Innovation
- Leadership skills
