Role details:
The environment is a typical Front Office space, except that they are one of the few within South Africa able to provide international exposure. This team specifically falls into a global economy of units with specific remit for African Trading within the Global spheres.
Your role:
Design and build core trading systems;
Design and build feeds, risk management as well as integration of said systems;
You will act as a Senior person within a team of very senior, highly skilled people.
They are looking for:
Previous experience building complex trading systems;
You will have in all likelihood have completed your Degree in Comp Sci OR Maths OR Physics etc;
You have a natural affinity for complex Mathematics as well as the conversion of the Maths into code;
You have some experience coding in C# NB – you do not need to be a C# expert, you may have a background in any of the other major languages BUT you must be competent in C#;
You have reasonably strong SQL skills;
You have reasonably strong Excel skills.
Most importantly, you must have experience working within the Front Office (specific products are not important) as well as an understanding of the pressures as well as the rewards.
