Core description:

Responsible for business intelligence and reporting across Openserve's commercial and technical functions. Provide business, commercial and financial insights and advise in respect of potential risks and corrective actions. Responsible for advanced operational analytics, research and creating mitigating solutions that will assist divisions to improve operational performance. Report variance analysis of actual performance against KPI's as sourced from Openserve's divisions.

Job responsibilities:

• Support in the commercial analysis and development of financial evaluation models including budgeting, planning sensitivities, forecasting, change financial case and risk imbedded with strategic initiatives
• Analyse trends from operational data analytics, operational dashboards and market trends to identify and manage commercial changes within the Openserve service organisations
• Analyse operational KPI analytics and dashboards to identify possible technology issues or opportunities for technology solutions
• Evaluate overall operations of the business, operating model(s) and recommend enhancements
• Develop predictive analytical models and/or assist Line with model development. Track performance delivery and develop predictive models to guide decision-making
• Develop hypothesis and research questions - guide research teams and conclude with new business insights and added value to the overall body of knowledge within Openserve
- Provide subject matter expertise to service organisation on telecommunications commercial and business operations functions & operating models, with particular focus on financial methodologies, sensitivities, promotional pricing, success evaluation and tracking of pricing policies
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the company by identifying the role that specific operating models may play in its future growth.
• Identify emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the company
• Assess changes and impacts to strategic and operational projects by monitoring and reviewing programme/ project and operational analytics, risk and issues
• Review new telecoms trends and technologies and assess their potential and opportunities for Openserve to leverage these
• Provide a hub for operational reporting, dash boarding, first line analysis and information extraction for information across service organisation.
• Partner with all service organisations to understand their business priorities and facilitate the delivery of business insights to guide business decisions.
• Increase efficiency of the BI environment by guiding the development and implementing of best practices and standards
• Provide a single source of operational metrics and KPIs across the Openserve environment. Ensure consistency in the definition and calculation of KPIs by maintaining Reporting Information Architecture for Openserve
• Support and perform benefits tracking of strategic and operational initiatives by standardizing and automating the measurement and reporting of project and operational KPIs
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and service providers by developing and implementing a stakeholder strategy
• Monitor and mitigate risks activities (including business continuity and operational risk management) within the technology environment
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX budget with strict discipline
• Ensure legislator & Regulatory compliance and corporate governance
• Manage the performance, productivity, development and wellbeing of own team
• Ensure leadership and performance that is aligned with the Openserve culture and values
• Oversee business cases and financial management
• Drive BBBEE Diversity targets
