Accountant Permanent Century City,Cape Town An opportunity exists within a listed corporate for an intermediate level Accountant tojoin the Shared Services team based in Century City.  This role will be responsible for thecashbook processing, journal processing and general ledger reconciliations, statutory returns aswell as certain ad hoc payments for the Shared Services Centre in Cape Town, which provides thissupport to several of the group’s business units situated in Cape Town.  The successfulcandidate will be reporting to the Head of Shared Services Western Cape.   The key performanceareas will include: Processing both electronic and manually captured bank transactions. Performing regular bank reconciliations and following up on reconciling items Capturing routinejournals for the various business units Performing monthly general ledger reconciliations andfollowing up on the reconciling items VAT201, EMP201 and other statutory returns and payments Other ad hoc payments Liaising with the various financial managers to compile recon files perbusiness unit Filing of reconciliations batches Assisting team members and BU’s withqueries

Skills and Experience
