Global Leader in Financial Market Software seeks Support and Test Analyst to perform technical and applications support on their software products. Our client has an impressive, fast growing footprint worldwide, with extensive collective knowledge in the financial markets. Their products are used by a number of stock exchanges, banks and other entities within the capital markets industry throughout Africa and the Caribbean region. They are looking to appoint a Support Analyst to provide support to customers ensuring adherence to SLA whilst working closely with the development team with the implementation and testing of new requirement to ensure software quality is of the highest standard. This will involve recording and tracking any reported operational issues or software defects on the internal AzureDevOps tracking system throughout its lifecycle until its closure. You will be required to assist the client with immediate troubleshooting and resolving issues or escalating to the dev team where required ensuring timely resolution as required by the SLA. The role also involves monitoring the day-to-day health and operational availability of the hosted infrastructure and software systems using the instrumentation provided, investigating and tending to any system generated alerts, generating incident reports and providing regular feedback to the development team and other stakeholders on the software and infrastructure performance and any issues reported by the client and the status thereof. You will be required to actively engage with the client and the development teams to assist in the troubleshooting and root cause analyses of reported issues and assist with the testing and implementation of any software fixes or updates related to the product. The successful incumbent must be willing to work shifts on a rotational basis and work the occasional late night or holiday when required. To apply you will need a BCom Informatics / Information Systems coupled with 3+ years IT related experience in a similar role. API (Application Programming Interface) Knowledge and skills is required and you will need to have strong knowledge of Systems infrastructure (Databases, Software and Systems communications). The role will suit a customer centric individual with strong oral and written communication skills and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of attention to detail is essential. Must be able to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. You should ideally have previous experience working with relational databases and MS SQL Server and experience with a scripting or programming language with the ability to code or read code in either C++ or C#. Exposure to the financial or capital markets sector, with previous experience working with the FIX (Financial Information Exchange) Protocol, will be a definite advantage.
