ICT Administrator: Service Delivery and Support (Ref: S169/2014)

Salary: R270,804.00 (excluding benefits) per annum

PRETORIA

Purpose: To provide technical ICT support services through the resolution of incidents
and problems. Conduct proactive maintenance and administration of the ICT Infrastructure.
Key outputs:

• Maintain and administer exchange messaging environment and Microsoft Active Directory environment.
• Administer SAN and NAS storage environment
• Administer virtual environment using VMware
• Responsible for Commvault backups and data archiving
• Maintain and administer windows server operating systems
• Monitor ICT infrastructure and service continuously and report deficiencies on capacity, availability and continuity
• Resolve incidents and problems related to responsibility in line with SLA’s
• Perform maintenance and record and report any anomalies
• Maintain the ICT knowledge base with identified problem and relevant solution
• Implement change requests and update configuration baselines
• Assist with the implementation and operationalization of ICT systems.

Requirements:
• A Degree / National Diploma in Information Technology. At least 2 years’ relevant experience (3-5 yrs preferred). Knowledge of some or all of the following equipment and systems is required: Network Infrastructure (Cisco), Antivirus (Symantec), Encryption (SOPHOS Safeguard), Infrastructure Applications (Microsoft - AD, Exchange, F&P Services, IIS, SharePoint, Desktop OS, Server OS and SQL), Storage Infrastructure (SAN, DAS, and NAS), Backup and Archiving (CommVault), Virtualization (VMWare), Certifications related to specialization e.g. Microsoft Certification would be an added advantage.
