Job Responsibilities:Assumes responsibility for effectively and efficiently managing sales support.
• Leads, motivates and develops the team.
• Utilizes all the team members’ skills to achieve sales support goals.
• Sets up plan of action for everyday eventualities.
• Must track each individual’s performance within Sales Support regarding output of quotes and orders processed, turnaround time and accuracy.
• Ensures Sales Support is efficiently staffed.
• Remains customer focused by understanding and responding to the needs of the customers.
• Improves service levels internally and externally by continuously monitoring processes and outputs and implementing changes where necessary.
• Ensures training is completed to ensure high performance of the team.
• Keeps own product knowledge up to date at all times.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good business relations with customers and external trade contacts.
• Ensures that customers are satisfied with the company’s service levels.
• Obtains customer feedback and continually works to improve sales support services.
• Resolves customer requests, complaints, and problems.
• Promotes goodwill and conveys a positive image of the Company.
Assumes responsibility for maintaining effective working relations, communication, and coordination with company personnel and with management.
• Provides assistance to area personnel as needed.
• Keeps management informed of area activities and significant problems.
• Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly.
• Attends meetings as required.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
• Completes special projects related to sales support.
• Follows any reasonable and lawful instruction related to work and given by an authorised person.
Education:
Matric
Management and leadership training.
Skills & Experience:
Understanding of the channel and competitive conditions.
Creating high performance culture.
Knowledge of the company’s products and services advantageous.
At least 3 years in the industry in a sales support management role or similar.
Competencies:
Strong customer service skills and customer driven and focused
Must be a team player and able to share experiences with sales support staff
Well organized
Good problem solving abilities
Able to make decisions and take responsibility
Always ensuring that the best behaviour and insight will be given at all times
Excellent verbal communication and written communication
