Our client, a largeIT distribution company is currently in a process in recruiting a Business Development Manager -Veritas to promote the sale of products by developing client relationships and advising clients inthe configuration and pricing of the solutions.

Key ResponsibilityAreas:

Promote the sale of products effectively and efficiently tocustomers via personal visits, telephone and email contact, marketing and training events.
Prospect for new customers and generate interest in products with clients currently notreselling from the employer.
Identify and develop underperforming customers.
Workclosely with the vendor on deals/tenders to ensure they are secured for the client and itsresellers.
Involve the Vendor and sales in customer meetings, be tactful in the approachand follow through with at least three key action points per meeting.
Work closely withresellers, understand their targets from the vendor and gain majority market share within theirbusinesses.
Provide first level technical advice on products and keep customers informed ofnew developments in product set.
Professionally and efficiently manage customers engagementwith a view to maximizing the client experience.
Reports on lost deals with reasons andpending deals (pipeline).
Display accuracy regarding messages, quotes, orders andinformation given.
Answer customer queries, offer product information.
Consultwith clients to establish the needs of their business.
Ensure customer expectations are met– order taking and delivery.
Increase overall customer satisfaction of new andexisting customers’ base in order to be effective in solving challenges that arise, and needto be solved for the customers.
Report weekly on all activities wins and losses.

Technical Competencies:

Building and maintaining relationships with existing and new Business Partners
Business development and program management within your allocated Business Partner accounts
Recruitment and enablement of new Business Partner
Account planning and performanceanalysis
Exceeding sales targets
Preparing of Partner Plans and businessdevelopment plans
Facilitating technical and brand sales training for your BusinessPartners
Facilitating and assistance with marketing events to generate leads for yourBusiness Partners

Education andExperience

Matric/Grade 12
IT tertiary qualificationpreferential
Minimum 3 years front line sales and business development experience(essential)
