PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

SENIOR PROFESSIONAL OFFICER: VALUATIONS

TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R742 872 PER ANNUM

REF.: EOA 06/19

Requirements:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Property Studies or National diploma/BTech degree in Real Estate/Property Valuation or any qualification recognised by the Council for the Property Valuers Profession
- Registered as per Section 20 (2) (a) of the Property Valuers Act, 2000 as a Professional Valuer or Professional Associate Valuer without restrictions
- 4 to 5 years’ property valuation experience
- Computer literacy (MS Office packages)
- A valid driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas:

- Provide market valuations of immovable properties, including rights in immovable properties
- Perform market valuations of all types of properties for purposes of acquisition, disposal and rental
- Conduct physical site inspections
- Compile well analysed, comprehensive and fully motivated valuation reports
- Ensure the correct application of complex valuation techniques
- Provide the City of Cape Town with in-depth investigation of the highest and best use of immovable properties and rights in immovable properties
- Advise the City of Cape Town as an expert in the event of litigation regarding valuations undertaken within the department
- Correspond and conduct negotiations regarding acquisition, disposal and rental valuations, including the scrutiny and analysis of actual financial loss claims resulting from expropriation/acquisition of property or rights in property.
