The team is a part of a self-standing P&L group with the ability to drive both Free Cash Flow and world class customer experience.Kumo is looking for a Software Test Engineer with a deep understanding of latest test methodologies and techniques. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, detail oriented, and has a knack for breaking websites. Software Test Engineers improve the quality of Kumo software systems by developing tests at the Unit, Integration, and System level.

Software Test Engineers (SDETs) regularly work with Developers, Product Managers and other SDETs to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. During the development cycle, SDETs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and will be responsible for developing test automation solutions, improving testability and troubleshooting problems in association with the development team.This individual will have the responsibility to:

Basic Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment
Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years professional experience in software development
3 years’ experience with web based technologies. These may include HTTP, Javascript, JSON, AJAX, Apache, Tomcat.
Experience with Selenium test framework
Experience with AWS technologies
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and documenting test plans
