A large ICT company, branch based in JHB, is seeking to employ a Senior Database Administrator.Knowledge & Experience:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• A high level of knowledge on the design and integration of databases, specifically Oracle, relational data- bases, database partitioning, database clusters
• A knowledge of both LAN and WAN network infrastructures
• Competency on server based operating systems
• Comprehensive understanding and experience of database operation and management
• Understanding of virtualisation technologies used in server and storage environments
• Certification in a range of database products
• Appropriate experience in the field would be considered in lieu of the above – with a minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration
• Excellent understanding of the integration, and support of IP based systems and products
• High level of diagnostic skills in specific hardware and software products
• Diagnostic skills
• Excellent reporting skills, both verbal and written
• Keen interest in future technologies
