Our external client is looking foran Operational Desktop Support to ensure that the IT infrastructure is in place and available tomeet the needs of the business and assume responsibility

Skills Requirements
The Networkand Desktop Support Technician will work in a team that will be responsible for providing 2nd linesupport to all end users. S/he will work in conjunction with system administrators, databaseadministrators and external vendor technicians to achieve the support level that is required. Assuch, over and Page - 5 - of10
abovequalifications and suitability, the curriculum vitae of the proposed candidates should, address thefollowing experience:
a) Deep skills and experience in desktop support of Microsoft OperatingSystems (Windows) and Microsoft applications (Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer, WSUS, etc);and
b) It is further recommended that the candidate should have experience in Troubleshootingand problem solving technical issues.
c) Knowledge of HP/Cisco switches and routers;
d) Certifications;
e) Good documentation skills.
2.4 Technical Skillsrequirements
In addition tothe above skills experience, it will be advantageous for candidates to also have the followingtechnical skills: Resource
Skills
Minimum Experience
Network and DesktopSupport Technician
Understanding of different network topologies;
> 5 years
Have a good knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol;
> 5 years
Networking skills (must have understanding of the following Cisco routers, Satellitenetworks, Switches);
> 6 years
Good knowledge of hardwareand software support and installation;
> 5 years
Knowledge ofSymantec Endpoint Protection edition (i.e. installing, updating definitions files etc.);
>3 Years
Good knowledge of tools such as PC-Anywhere, Remote Desktop, etc. forremote support.
> 3 Years
