Responsibilities:
• Act as the liaison between internal customers and functional IT departments during the phases of development efforts
• Apply structured methodology in the creation of requirements from the business perspective, translated in to easily understood formats that are acted upon by the various technical teams in IT
• Apply uniform principles in the definition of system and functional requirements for technical projects
• Define specifications and process models for development efforts and testing
• Liaising the business specifications perform UAT testing by reviewing test cases and analyzing results
• Apply working knowledge of systems and business analysis to analyze and develop integrated solutions to resolve moderate to complex technical or business issues
• Assist in the analysis and design of new business processes around requirements definition, information gathering, and consistent documentation methodologies
• Using information gathering techniques, conduct facilitated sessions with internal customers to define detailed business requirements for solution development and implementation
• Establish and maintain clear scope boundaries for the solution. Develop clear and concise functional requirements for the technical developers that are free from ambiguity to minimize re-work and errors. Recognize the business’s needs and the implications of change
Requirements:
• Applicable qualification (BCom, BSC Informatics etc)
• Must have at least 3 - 5 years experience in Solution / Business Analyst capacity or equivalent position with an emphasis on requirements documentation, software development systems background, knowledge of software development lifecycle and development methodology
• Requires excellent written and verbal communications skills
