Our client is a Leading Software company with a 30-year successful track record in developing applications for the financial markets. Their roots originate as software developers for the South African Gilts market and apart from growing in the variety of systems they now offer; they also boast an impressive and fast-growing footprint worldwide. This equates to a very busy support team and sees them needing to appoint an additional software support person to ensure the smooth and trouble-free operation of clients' comprehensive software systems with the necessary assistance, professionalism and expertise. Responsibilities will include providing professional assistance to clients both on site and telephonically, managing multiple client problems / issues / queries, ensuring that clients are helped with an issue until it is resolved and within the SLA, keeping communication channels open so that the clients are fully informed at all times, and adhering to predefined deadlines. The role would suit an individual who has completed a BCom Degree who is a strong and persuasive communicator and is persistent in following up with deadlines. Must be computer literate and have a strong numerical ability. Knowledge of the Financial sector and experience in SQL Statements and Crystal Report Writer would be an advantage. To excel in this role, you will need to have a genuine desire to help customers and prioritize their needs, display initiative and have integrity.
