Role details:
Amazon Development Centre South Africa is looking for passionate software developers to join us and help to solve a challenging set of problems in the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) space.
This team is responsible for mapping individual instance-launch requests to physical hosts. As such, we’re critical to EC2’s proper functioning. We’re also key to EC2’s ability to deliver novel customer-features and improve efficiencies. The team’s problem-space is particularly interesting, as it requires us to build systems which solve multi-axis optimization problems in real-time, involving elements of control theory. The Instance Placement team earned top results in a recent member-survey for the questions: ''I'd recommend my team as a great place to work'' and ''I find the work that I do on my team is interesting.''
