Our clients offering solutions to the Financial Services Sector based in the JHB CBD is looking for a Head of PCH Delivery to provide and execute the PSO payment and settlement systems and services to the SA NPS under the governance of the SARB. Drive the innovation and growth of these products with the industry, regulator and other key stakeholders as the NPS matures and evolves. Responsible for the product level P&L within the PSO division and must ensure the growth and sustainability of the services through the product lifecycle.

Purpose of the Job:
Departmental Mandate
• Formulate, implement and support PSO payment and settlement systems and services to the South African NPS as well as drive the innovation and growth of these services with the industry, regulator and other key stakeholders as the NPS matures and evolves.
Divisional Mandate
• The Payment System Operator (PSO) provides payment systems, operational processing and support services for clearing and settlement systems. This division is responsible for effective operational, training, processing, escalation management and financial controls and accurate settlement calculations for all payment systems in its ambit. The division takes responsibility for exceptional operational service delivery, relevant value adds, product innovation and new payment solutions to the market whilst managing product and solution maturity and client relations.

Job Description:
• Ensure sustainable growth in revenue, profitability and the product range for the cluster.
• Take responsibility for managing the relationships and processes with PASA and industry stakeholders regarding escalation and industry outages.
• Lead and coordinate senior stakeholder relations for the evolution and growth of NPS products through establishing a strategic conversations with key stakeholders, clients and influencers in our markets.
• Ensure on good corporate and financial governance, risk management and continuous improvements in efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure product development, maintenance and upgrades are prioritised within the group in alignment to client and regulatory priorities.
• Ensure leadership and coordination of value added services to NPS products in line with client and regulatory innovations and requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Matric.
• Related post matric qualifications, Business Degree.
• Relevant Post Graduate Qualification.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in an Information Technology company or division.
• Experience in banking or payments environment is preferable

Competencies:
• Solid planning and communication competencies.
• Intimate knowledge of the South African payments environment, including relevant SARB, PASA and PCH structures.
• Ability to influence and lobby key stakeholders in the payments domain to create win-win solutions to industry challenges.
• Solid IT product management and support knowledge.
• Effective market evaluation and trend analysis skills.
• Effective time management in planning, directing, problem solving and resolution management.
• Solid general management and business administration skills.
• Strong business development through effective, sustainable and long term customer relationship management.
• Ability to manage product level P&L as well as creating new revenue opportunities through product enhancements and value-adds.
• Drive innovation and development of new products and services.
