Role details:
One of our external clients inGauteng is looking for a Oracle Support Resource for a 12 month contract. Contract renewabledepending on performance.

Scope for Oracle support services

To proactively monitor all Oracle systems from Infrastructure andOS perspective

Conduct regular audits on Infrastructure in all datacentres

Document all audits

Support of break-fix Infrastructure

Solaris OS support Most versions

Knowledge transfer to existing HW teammembers on Oracle & Solaris

Knowledge on HP & IBM systems(Infrastructure)

Working hours 8-5 Monday to Friday

Vendor willbe required to work Standby starting on Monday 5pm till the next Monday 8am

Vendorwill be required to travel to different COMPANY sites

All COMPANY process &procedures must be followed at all times

Vendor will report to HW team Manager

A resource must always be provided by Vendor, should employee be sick or on leave.

Vendor will be responsible to also support HP & other devices at COMPANY datacentres.

All credentials to systems that is supported by HW team will begranted

Office of designation will be COMPANY 14Th Avenue

Vendorduties will include repair to Infrastructure & OS support

Vendor will berequired to liaise and or log fault with OEM vendors if needed

Vendor will berequired to do systems & FW updates on all supported systems

Vendor will berequired to save on OPEX budget provided for IS

Consolidation, Optimization &recommendations on Infrastructure will be required to cut costs

Vendor will berequired to work after hours at the discretion of COMPANY Management

If on StandbyVendor will be requested to be available should you be required

Laptops, modems,Cell phone, data, canteen and all other COMPANY perks will not be provided to individual. It has tobe provided by Vendor Company.

A standby bakkie will be provided should vendorneed to travel between COMPANY offices only. Vehicle will not be used for personal requirements

Vendor will be required to use your own vehicle if required

allovertime and standby allowances will be paid by Vendor company

Vendor will berequired to keep track and to honour KPI’s for IS

All Ignite projects takesfirst preference within operational function or based on COMPANY Management discretion.
 
 



Vendor will be requested to work with manyteams and build relations on professional level

No BAU Production work will beconducted without Change management process be followed.

Vendor will be requiredto be onsite or & in critsit at COMPANY management discretion

Vendor will berequired to always be respectful to you follow colleagues and Management.

Vendorwill be required to always be positive and show positive attitude

COMPANY will beallowed to terminate services with 30 day notice period

Vendor will be based adata centre with rest of HW team members or otherwise stated by COMPANY management

Vendor will be requested to work with members of your team favourably

Vendorwill be required to work on BAU & project work as stipulated by COMPANY Management

Vendor will be required to attend meetings when requested to. Non-compliance of this willonly be allowed if you working on a Sev 1 or 2 or at management discretion.

Vendorwill not be allowed to partake in COMPANY bonus or shares scheme and any strike protest as COMPANYpermanent staff members.

COMPANY will not be responsible for any injury or theftthat may occur on premises

Vendor will not be eligible to attend any COMPANYfunctions unless stipulated by your manager.

All COMPANY SLA’ are to be metwithin time and to be followed at all times.

All RCA’ are to be completedwithin a 24 hours cycle.

All work is to be done with quality and diligently at alltimes.

All types of communication to business needs to be responded to withrespect at all times.

Vendor will only be allowed to work from home on COMPANYmanagement approval

All COMPANY information must be kept confidential at all timesand not to be shared with external resources in or out of company.

Vendor will berequested to use OEM tools to support Infrastructure

Vendor is not allowed topurchase any resources on behalf of COMPANY

All overtime must be requested firstfrom line manager before any work is done.

No work is to be done without arequest, Incident or change logged.

Severity-1A major problem affecting production or end user service for multiple users where it has acritical business impact, or where business critical applications or services are unavailable.
Severity-2 A problem that has asignificant business impact on one or more users or where a deadline is in jeopardy and there ispotential business impact.
Severity-3Non-critical problem or single user impact.
Severity-4 Minor inconvenience, little or no user impacts, or adhoc requests for information.
