Role details:
Must have at least 3 or more years’ experience in Digital Forensic Investigations
Must have an ACE, ENCE, SANS or applicable diploma/degree
Must have working knowledge on Encase/FTK and/or NUIX

Forensic Responsibilities will include (a working knowledge of the below will be a minimum requirement):Forensic preparation of all target storage media
Creation of mirror images of computer devices to be investigated
Creation of backup copies of mirror images
Verification of all evidence acquired
Analysis of al data acquired and extraction of relevant evidence
Secondary testing of all software and hardware used to determine that no contamination can occur
Safekeeping of all evidence collected and maintaining chain of custody in safeguarding the integrity of all evidence
Management of evidence register and access to evidence room
Safekeeping of all investigation reports and case related documentation
Secure destruction of all investigation generated products not used for further action.
Research of new tendencies, methods and technology
Preparation of case reports and presentation thereof to clients
Providing expert testimony in all hearings
Keeping of investigation diary on each assignment
Administrative responsibilities:
General office administration commensurate with the duties of a digital forensic analyst will be a requirement.

Liaison with client
Managing and Guiding of junior staff
Other Requirements:
Must have valid driver’s License
Must have green barcoded Identification Document/ New South African ID card
