An opportunity with one of theclients based in Randburg is looking to appoint a Project Manager on a 12 months contract

Purpose of Role:
Responsible for managing single major project to budget, schedule and quality.Working with physical and virtual teams across departments, this role demands timely and effectivecommunications with project sponsors, internal stakeholders, technical specialists and the customer.Working closely with the customer, managing their expectations, and ensuring that the right job iscompleted and done well. To provide effective support and advice to the customer and internallyduring the Project cycle.
 
The Senior Project Manager is well organised,articulate, detail-orientated and commercially aware, with an understanding of business operations,and able to lead and delegate effectively. You are responsible for driving the service improvementprojects, departmental intiatives and providing support to fellow colleagues.You take pride andresponsibility, and have the drive to make things happen to get the job done.
 
Skills / Knowledge & Experience

Extensive projectmanagement experience, preferably gained from managing IT projects
Proven experience ofworking with a project management methodology such as PRINCE2 or PMI
Proven track recordworking at a senior level in the motor trade or associated profession
Demonstrablehigh-level of communication, facilitation and negotiation skills
Demonstrable experience ofcommercial decision making
Proven experience of software development projectmanagement
Experience of working with MS Office – Project, Exceletc
Experience of using project management databases andsystems

 
Qualificationsrequired
Desirable

A degree or equivalentqualification
PRINCE 2 or PMI Certificationpreferred

 
Key Duties &Responsibilities:

Defining the scope, impact, resources and outcomes of theproject, and gaining customer agreement to these
To manage the installation andimplementation of systems based on PRINCE 2 & SureStart methodology as applied by thecompany
Developing the project plan, budget and team, and identifying and scheduling projectactivities
Establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, delivery teams andthe customer
Assigning work, delegating responsibilities, leading and supporting the projectteam
Working closely with the project team to ensure that commitments and deadlines aremet
Regularly reviewing project scope, costs,  performance and business benefits tokeep the project on track
Communicating project progress and outcomes to the delivery team,the project sponsor, the project board, and the customer
Dealing with emerging risksand  issues promptly and professionally, escalating where necessary
Using appropriatestandards, systems,  resources, tools and techniques in all project managementactivities
Maintaining and controlling project documentation and systems during, and oncompletion of the project
Closing the project to enable revenue recognition, and to reviewlessons learned
Engaging with service improvement plans and departmentalobjectives
Fulfil the role of Senior Supplier as and whenrequired
