Minimum Requirements:• Technical textiles experience/knowledge
• Excellent communication skills (Must be able to talk and relate to both Farmers and CEO's of Corporates)
• Textile degree or other relevant qualification essential
• Knowledge about leather (Bonus)
• International benchmarking experience
• Know how to identify and analyse competitiveness caps
• Financial modelling capability
• Knowledge of sustainable textiles and apparel
• Willing to travel
Duties
• Design Programme Concept
Engage with potential Market partners and pinpoint strategic and operational Off-Take requirements.
Develop the Standards to govern production and market offerings.
Engage with potential Production and Manufacturing partners and identify current and/or potential production capacity.
Determine the knowledge and skills required for the successful implementation of the programme and engage with potential service providers.
Gain commitment from Government to create an enabling environment.
Business Concept Workshop
• Design Programme Supply Chain
Map the supply chain from Farmer to Retail in terms of location and production capability.
Determine the production facilities and infrastructure requirements for each link in the supply chain.
Engage with potential funding partners and pinpoint conditional requirements for funding.
Integrated Supply Chain Workshop
• Assess Feasibility and Compile Programme Plan
Compile detailed Programme Plan for each business unit and consolidate for supply chain
Gain commitment for overall supply chain structure
Present the consolidated Programme Plan to potential funding partners for approval
Programme Business Plan Workshop
• Prepare for Programme Implementation
Development of Production / Processing Facilities and Infrastructure
Conduct Training and finalize Mentorship and Extension support
Finalize Management Plan and Traceability System
Complete Product Design and Sampling
Implement Supply Chain Contracting
Preparation for Implementation Workshop
• Implement Programme
Oversee production and ensure that all product specifications, safety standards and certification requirements are achieved.
Facilitate Programme Stakeholder meetings and record keeping.
Oversee off-take agreements from production scheduling to delivery and ensure that all brand integrity requirements are achieved.
Track programme performance and report to stakeholders.
Document successful business model and compile national resource offering.
