My client, a marketing and social media expert, is looking for a new Senior CMS Developer to join their growing team. The candidate should be a well-experienced expert in the fields of modern, mobile-capable front-end development in HTML5, as well as having a solid background in PHP. The candidate should also be comfortable and have professionally used and contributed to a major CMS such as Joomla or WordPress. Good DB skills are required
Overview:

A Senior CMS Developer's role straddles almost all disciplines in development, needing to be comfortable with MySQL, PHP, a major CMS (preferably, but not restricted to, Joomla) and excellent front-end HTML5, Javascript, AJAX and jQuery/Mootools.
The role demands that the candidate be very comfortable with Responsive (bootstrap) development to allow for adaptive, mobile-friendly rendering of websites. As such, the developer must be reasonably multi-faceted in all these disciplines, or display a strong capability for cross-discipline learning.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to: Solutions Architect, Chief Technical Officer
Manages: Junior Developer, Junior Joomla Developer

Responsibilities:

Be the lead or primary developer in content-based development, driving code output, and liaising with the Solutions Architect about development strategy, timelines and requirements.
Develop client-specified web applications
Provide design input on projects, where required (including mock-ups)
Provide assistance with more junior team members, where required
Report to the Solutions Architect on development status

Minimum requirements:

2 - 4 years' practical knowledge with PHP 5.3 or higher (5.4 and higher preferred) and/or Python. Should have some
Understanding of OOP concepts, and comfortable with working with others' code.
At least 5 years’ experience with any major PHP CMS (must understand any kind of extension development, plugin, module, component etc.)
4 years HTML5 experience, with deep competence and exposure to Responsive design (bootstrap)
AT least 2 years CSS3 experience, with an understanding of all CSS concepts, including the ability to manipulate existing complex CSS structures
At least 2 years’ experience with jQuery/ Mootools and should be very comfortable with client-side scripting such as Javascript
1-2 years MySQL experience, with reasonable understanding of RDBMS principles, and should be able to script SQL without a GUI
Some graphic design experience (i.e. Photoshop/ Adobe Illustrator/ CorelDraw) and have some examples of graphic design work used in or out of web development
Strong attention to detail/ Focus on quality
