An external client based inBellville is looking to employ a Desktop Support Technician for a 6 months' contract. The successfulcandidate will provide first and second line technical support on all workstations within thearea

Responsibilities:

Deliver first and second line technical supporton all workstations within area of service.
Responsible for upgrading and maintainingend-user software versions and equipment.
Deliver first and second line technical supporton all workstations within area of service
Co-ordinate, install, set up and completedepartmental moves with regards to IT equipment
Effective and efficient handling ofassigned incidents
Maintenance of all hardware on workstations
Schedule standbyfor after hour support
Identify financial and business risks to the company and escalateaccordingly.
Ensure end user satisfaction with excellent service with regards to assignedincidents.
Professional and efficient communication to relevant stakeholders.
Support effective teamwork
Engage with appropriate training interventions to promoteown professional development.
Share and transfer of product, process and systemknowledge.

Minimum Requirements:

3+ Years relevantexperience
Matric (Grade 12)
A+/N+
MCSE/MCP/ITIL will be anadvantage
