A client that provides IT solutions to the Mining and Engineering sectors is seeking a talented and highly experienced Senior Software Developer, preferably from a similar background and experienceMinimum Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline
Demonstrable Software Development experience – 5+ years
Fully Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)



Mandatory Technical Skills include the following:

.NET – 5+ years
WPF – 2+ years
JAVA – 2+ years
MS SQL – 2+ years



Preferred Technical Skills:

Telerik
Mercurial
JIRA
Understanding of Agile methodologies
CQRS
REST based web development
ASP
Preferably from a Mining or Engineering company background



Job Responsibilities:

Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents.
Facilitate and workshop the business requirements with internal and if relevant external stakeholders.
Take ownership for ensuring that the solution is deployed according to the business requirements –
Install, validate, train and obtain sign off against the business requirements.
Ensure that the deployment & development teams understand the business requirements.
Perform coding to written technical specifications.
Provide technical leadership to the development team on the project.
