KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ BRIEF SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Oversee and manage all picking processes and procedures
Ensure that the products are efficiently allocated in the correct location, within the warehouse in a secure manner in order to eliminate damage to the goods and comply with storage and handling requirements.
Ensure that the stock being picked is from the correct bin locations.
Ensure that product entering the racks are packed in the correct manner maintaining the bin control as per system requirements.
Ensure picking is done timeously as per process to meet loading deadlines.
100% order fulfillment to be achieved on available stock in the DC.
HU presentation to stores to be within agreed parameters in regards to packaging standards.
Ensure the shift structures and staffing levels are appropriate to ensure efficient picking operations.
Ensure that Material handling equipment is in safe operating order and clean at all times.
Ensure that a high level of security is maintained at the DC.
To lead investigations of all incidents and non-compliances and conduct root cause analysis and reports thereof as required. Ensure corrective actions are identified, communicated and timeously implemented.

REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 or equivalent Certificate
Tertiary logistics management or related qualification will be beneficial
Must have 3 years' experience in picking management.
Good understanding of warehouse tracking and SAP EWM systems
