The position is a Reporting Manager to Support the Regional Financial Controller and the Regional Finance Director by taking day to day responsibility for allocated BA countries' financial and management reports. Key responsibilities are:
To work with the countries to establish reporting and accounting control at the required standard for financial control
Conducting on-going country reviews and challenge of financial control processes to identify any gaps and agree the appropriate remediation to ensure that processes are robust. This will require some travelling into Africa - possibly twice a ytear
Oversee the aggregation or completion of financial and management reports submitted to GRB and or Group.
Monitor allocated country implementation of new accounting standards
First level of review of business cases for Finance signs off.
Perform some reporting and analytics on reports received from in country.
Key contact person for an allocated BA country and management of communication between in-country finance and regional finance and other teams.
Manage account ownership and reconciliation attestation (AO&R) to be provided to the Head of Financial Control Governance
Manage the Finance related Basel II deliverables
Elimination Champion for BA and reconciliation of BA mismatches
Assist with the implementation of SAP (OWARI) in allocated BA countries as well as with the implementation of other projects
Manage some allocated processes across all 12 ROA countries and continuously look for ways to identify efficiencies
Education and Experience Required
Chartered Accountant CA (SA) or equivalent qualification
New qualified or with to 2/3 years post experience
